Following Ehiru and Hanani through this magical world was hypnotizing. I really loved how divided the reader can get over who is in the right or wrong. Jemisin’s Dreamblood Duology was my first introduction to her work, and I am always championing it for that reason; it was the first epic fantasy I read as an adult that wasn’t based on European folklore and mythology. Solid world building, lack of true character development. But I want to read the Broken Earth trilogy down the line, so I really wanted to try Jemisin's writing style before that so I went with this one because there's only two books, not three or four. The Dreamblood Duology is a book (two books you can find in one volume) you need to read. Libros .
